Rag & Bone Floral Dress

How was your weekend?

I spent mine in Charlotte scouting out places to live + celebrating my friend Anna getting married.
It was the perfect occasion to wear this Rag & Bone floral dress I bought on super sale months ago. I cannot get enough of the in-your-face floral print + the cut out mesh detail in the back really gives the dress some kick. We managed to dodge the rain and get a few photos before we headed into town to celebrate the newly married couple.
I'm both proud and shocked that I managed not to spill anything on the dress Saturday night. Let's keep that kind of karma rolling.
Maybe I should buy a lottery ticket?!

Dress: Rag & Bone
Shoes: Michael Kors (similar here + here)
Blazer: Anthropologie
Necklace: J.Crew (mine is green this is white)
Clutch: Thrifted

OFF TO CHARLOTTE

Isn't this look great?
I love how she paired the chambray top + denim jeans.
I need that blazer in my closet asap.

I'm off to Charlotte with my fiance to look at places to live + to celebrate a friend's wedding. This is our last wedding until our own big day in October!

Here are a few things I loved this week:
Chassity's floral top + lacy shorts combo.

Have a great weekend + See you on Monday.

Banana Republic Maxi Skirt

Have you been in Banana Republic lately?

I stopped in this past weekend and tried on this maxi skirt.
Response in the dressing room from my fiance, "Wow, you should buy that."
This just got serious.

If you liked my maxi skirt from this post, you will LOVE this one. It comes in bird of paradise as above (more of a red) + navy blue.

The waistband makes this skirt perfect for tucking in a tank or tying your favorite oversized tee.
If you're currently hunting for an affordable, flowy maxi skirt, this is it.

tip: this skirt runs large, so if you're ordering online go down one size.

As soon as its warm enough, I'm planning on wearing this exact look.
I'm ready for you, summer.

The Good Style Fashion Show

Last Thursday, I hit up the Good Style Fashion show with my friend Kimberly. The show featured local bloggers who designed collections from Goodwill pieces. The looks ranged from every day wear to those inspired by an exotic Moroccan holiday. Not only did I go for the fashion, but my gorgeous friend Jaclyn modeled in the show and I wasn't about to miss that.
It was amazing to see how these bloggers or better yet, designers, constructed cohesive looks only using thrifted finds from Goodwill. It was inspiring to see all the creativity and passion put on by these ladies and it makes me want to pay a visit to my local Goodwill store. Immediately.
Scroll through the photos and you'll see what I mean...

I wore my favorite new necklace (similar) from Furbish Studio + Anthropologie blouse to the show.

The 10 Best Dressed at The Met Gala

All photos from Huffington Post

Did you see any of the punk-themed fashion from the Met Gala last night?
I'm not the biggest fan of punk and never went through a "punk stage" growing up, but I can appreciate its enormous impact on the fashion world.

Its hard to pick a favorite, but Rooney Mara was stunning in Givenchy. I also cannot get enough of the yellow gown worn by Joely Richardson. Does this come in a maxi dress? I'd buy it.

Kate Bosworth hit a homerun in Balmain + I love Kate Mara in Delpozo. The fitted bodice, hardware, and rich color echoed punk without being obnoxious.

SJP was all in with the punk theme and I love it. Her Giles Deacon dress, headpiece (that's right, she rocked a headpiece) and boots were a winning combination that not many can pull off.

Anja Rubik and Gisele both wore Anthony Vaccarello. They looked punked out + gorgeous.

Can we talk about Jaime King in Topshop for a sec?
I love that she wore a suit. The lace detail underneath + super pointy metallic shoe are a killer combination. She's put-together punk and looks amazing.

Gwyneth always gets it right in my book and this Valentino Couture pink dress is no exception. She looks elegant as always with a touch of edge. Sienna Miller also nailed it in a white Burberry dress with major punk accessories.

**Interested in buying Kate Bosworth's Balmain or stealing Gisele's Anthony Vaccarello dress?
You can.
Today on Moda Operandi you can purchase select looks worn by these celebrities on the event's red carpet. If you saw something you can't live without and have a small fortune to spend, head on over and snag it before another fashionista beats you to it.
You go Glen Coco, you go.
