I'm bringing you an atypical Tuesday post to let you know about the current Shopbop Sale. They are having one of their monster sales and it starts today. It kicked off at 7am EST and runs until Sunday, March 8th 4am EST. You can save 15% with purchase over $250, 20% with purchase over $500, and 25% with purchase over $1000. Basically, this is the best time to snag everything off your wish list and feel less guilty about it. #NoSpendFeb is over, so I'm making some strategic moves and investing in a few key pieces that I've had my eye on for months.

I'm looking to snag a pair of Black Distressed Denim, Rag & Bone Boyfriend Shorts, and possibly a pretty Spring dress. I also love a bright, floral clutch for Spring and who wouldn't want to get their hands on a lovely Rag & Bone Fedora? Don't delay, the goods will go fast.

I've got something cool to share tomorrow, so be sure to stop by...

Hello, March. This signifies an official end to #NoSpendFeb and I'm happy to say that we survived (Jaclyn and Kimberly). This may sound blasphemous, but it wasn't that hard. I won't say that it changed my life, but it felt pretty good. I definitely enjoyed shopping my closet and making more of an effort to recreate looks from what I already own. I also stumbled on a few awesome pieces that I could kick myself for not wearing more. The best part about the spending freeze was avoiding the impulse buy. It served as a nice fail-safe that forced me to stop and think before I bought yet another slouchy neutral sweater. Now, about the look...

Denim-on-denim is pretty easy and this look I shopped straight from my closet. When styling the canadian tuxedo, I prefer to have a light wash color on top to break it up a bit. I've been wearing hats a lot this season too because I'm definitely in a hair rut. I'll have to get back to you on that.

If you're thinking about a spending freeze, I highly recommend it. I also really enjoyed Kimberly's post on her recent shopping hiatus. Be sure to stop by tomorrow and definitely on Wednesday too because I've got some shopping news to share...

Pick of the Week: Pink Stitch Maxi Dress

Friday, February 27, 2015

Enough of Winter already. I avoided picking anything this week from the plethora of winter sales that are happening and decided to focus on something a bit more exciting. Warmth. Nothing gets me more excited for Spring than a maxi. I own two of the ONE by Pink Stitch Maxis (worn here) and they are straight up fantastic. The price is right ($84) and they are the easiest dresses to wear. They also come in fifteen different colors, so you're guaranteed to find one that you love. If you're looking for a printed maxi, they got you covered too.
How many days until Spring?

The Five Best Vests

Wednesday, February 25, 2015

five best womens vests
These are the five vests that dreams are made of. If you are on any sort of spending freeze, go hide your wallet right now. You can also check out these vests that are all under $130. Otherwise, let's go ahead and discuss why we need these.

My favorite of the bunch is the Vince Leather Vest. It also comes in black, but doesn't it look so good in the sierra silver? This is an investment piece and one I would love to have. The Elizabeth and James Edmund Vest could just be the perfect everyday vest. The back detail is amazing and it comes in both black and white. I'd go with the white, but you can't go wrong with either. Fringe is all the rage right now and why not on a vest? The ONE by LAMARQUE fringe vest is edgy and totally bad ass. Last but not least, the classic oversized Rag & Bone vest. For the record, I'd also like one of their hats in every single color too.

No Spend February is winding down and it's been a challenge to find something vibrant and new to wear. After reading about the J.Crew Accessory Fix Challenge on instagram, I was all in (#accessoryfix #jcrewcontest). This challenge is all about styling your favorite J.Crew accessories to recreate new looks and brighten it up a bit. Just what I need.

These blue suede pumps have been in my closet for awhile now and I wear them all the time (see here and here). They are the perfect pop of color and are easier to wear than you might think. Do yourself a favor and go snag a bright pair of pumps asap. This statement necklace is near and dear to my heart because I wore it on the night of my wedding rehearsal dinner. It's beautiful worn with a dress, but even cooler with a sweater or over a white tee shirt. Isn't this one gorgeous too? The Edie Purse is super versatile and I actually prefer it without the strap and worn as a clutch.

I hope that this colorful accessory remix helps to keep the winter blues away. I'm pretty confident that winning one of three $1,500 J.Crew shopping sprees would kick Winter right in the face. Just sayin'.

Pick of the Week: Chic Beanie

Friday, February 20, 2015

For those of us that reside in the midwest or east coast, it's pretty clear that winter is going strong. Too strong. We only have 28 days until Spring, but that doesn't mean we are even close to putting away the winter gear. This Space Dye Beanie is on sale over at Need Supply Co. for $11.99. If you're like me and have decided to forgo doing anything with your hair until it warms up, this hat will help. It also comes in three perfect colors (beige, charcoal, and taupe) to ensure that you never take it off.
Stay warm and see you on Monday,
