Gap Marled Sweater (on sale for $32.99) / Frame Denim (on sale) / Madewell Fedora / Madewell Coin Necklace / Daphne Clutch (on sale) / J.Crew heels (similar)

Our Bloggers Who Budget collaboration this month is to style one of our favorite Fall pieces under $60. I snagged this Gap sweater a week or so ago for less than thirty-five bucks. I'm a sucker for anything slouchy and especially one that is soft and a great deal. I really love the look of an over-sized sweater tucked in with straight or skinny jeans. This sweater runs true-to-size, but go up one size if you want it super slouchy. My fedora is from Madewell and I suggest you try this one on. The quality is great and you can't go wrong with the gorgeous dark brown color. If I didn't have such a small head, I would have bought this one too.

Next month marks one year of our #BloggersWhoBudget collaboration. I'm excited that we have continued the series (and also that I found Ariana to help up my photo game.)

Want to join in on the fun? The Bloggers Who Budget collab will now be open for you to link up with us starting next month. Our theme for November 17th will be "Mad for Plaid" with a budget of $75 and under. If you have your own budget style, we want to see your look too!

Pick of the Week: Old Navy Turtleneck

Friday, October 17, 2014

This Old Navy Jersey Turtleneck is eleven dollars. Eleven freakin dollars. They come in seven different colors in a super-soft jersey stretch material. Lightweight turtlenecks are perfect for layering under just about everything. Wearing one under your favorite sleeveless dress is a great way to get more wear out of pieces that you already own. I plan on grabbing a few of these bad boys, especially the one in navy stripe (shown above).

Our monthly #BloggersWhoBudget collab is back on Monday. We are styling our favorite Fall products that are under $60. Don't miss it.

six shopbop sale standouts
1/ Margot Foldover Clutch 2/ Rag & Bone Boyfriend Jeans 3/ Traveling Cable Knit Sweater 4/ Quereda Suede Mules 5/ Floppy Brim Fedora 6/ Classic Newbury Booties

Shopbop is having a 25% off sale. Guys, this is where the magic happens. It's time to re-visit that pricey pair of denim you have been lusting after or those heels you just couldn't quite pull the trigger on. If you've thought to yourself, "I'd buy these if they were on sale", then it's time to act my friend.

I got so excited about this sale that I included a few Rag & Bone pieces, which I just realized are not part of the sale. My bad. However, Rag & Bone Jean is included. Boom. You have until 11:59pm on October 16th to enjoy 25% off on full-price and sale items. Let the games begin.

Vince Fall Coats + Heels

Monday, October 13, 2014

What's better than Fall foliage and the beloved Starbucks Pumpkin Spice latte? I'm gonna go ahead and say the Vince Fall 2014 collection is better. Way better. I have a few coats bookmarked to stalk all season and more than half of them are Vince. I'm convinced that their outerwear gets sleeker and cozier every season. The Scuba Coat is fantastic. I absolutely love the asymmetric zip and high neck on this sweater coat. The Leather Trimmed Car Coat is also another one I'd love to have in my closet. The belt is removable and the jacket also snaps at the top. Nothing beats a jacket with options.

The heels are elegant and feminine as ever and I'd like to make room for all these beauties in my closet. The Celeste d'Orsay Pumps are my favorite. How about the Ingrid Cutout Booties? This updated bootie is a stunner and the woodsmoke color is perfect for the season.

I'll take one of these over a PSL any day.

Pick of the Week: Everlane Silk Blouse

Friday, October 10, 2014

A silk blouse with a perfect fit is essential. I would argue that having more than one is necessary. If you are looking for a quality silk blouse that won't break the bank, look no further. The Everlane Silk Pocket blouse is casual and polished without the hefty price tag. I love that it comes in four colors, all of which are gorgeous and wearable. You simply cannot beat an elegant silk blouse tucked into high-waisted jeans or with your favorite tailored trousers (as above).

A picture really is worth a thousand words, especially when traveling in Central California. Back in August, we spent a week wine tasting, hiking, and eating our way through Carmel/Big Sur and San Francisco. These pictures are just a few of the amazing ocean views, hiking trails, and scenic city scapes that we enjoyed on our trip. Here are a few of our favorite spots and places that you simply cannot miss when you travel to Central California.

Carmel/Big Sur: We stayed at the Tickle Pink Inn at Carmel Highlands and loved it. The views are gorgeous and the quaint, thirty-five room Inn felt private and cozy at the same time. Do not miss Garrapata State Park. This park is right off Highway 1 ~18 miles north of Big Sur. The beach is picturesque with waves crashing on the shore and the coastline is scattered with beautiful flowers. Pfeiffer Beach, not to be confused with Pfeiffer State Park, is a hidden gem. It's not the easiest to find, but worth every second on google maps trying to locate it. Picture huge waves crashing around rocky archways on an expansive, sparsely populated beach. If you only have time to eat at one place in Big Sur, make it Nepenthe. The views are unimaginable. Grab a beer and dine outside overlooking the coast. If you are staying in Carmel, be sure to grab dinner at La Bicyclette. This rustic French-Italian restaurant has an awesome relaxed atmosphere and the food is phenomenal (you can't go wrong ordering the wood-fired pizza).

San Francisco: This was the last two days of our trip and my first time in San Francisco. For the most part, we walked around the city and tried to see as much of it as we could in a short time. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and leave your heels at home (at least during the day). We had dinner at Rich Table and I highly recommend it. We lucked out with an awesome table facing Gough Street (perfect for people watching). The restaurant is warm and inviting and the food was spectacular. San Francisco is definitely on our list of places to revisit. It's worth mentioning that if you drive from Carmel to San Francisco, you will pass right by a Lululemon outlet store. Just sayin'.

If you're thinking about making a trip out to California, definitely consider the Central Coast. We cannot wait to go back.
