Out in Philly
I always feel so lucky when I think about the amazing group of friends that I have in my life. Moving to a new city has been difficult and especially starting a new job (blah).
I've never really been a huge birthday person. I don't organize a party for my birthday or go away on a crazy celebratory trip, but instead prefer a low key dinner and drinks with the ones I love. When my birthday arrived, I found myself really missing my friends and would have given anything to hang out over rounds of cocktails. Most of us are scattered all over the country: Philly, Atlanta, Lexington, Baltimore, Columbus, etc, which makes it difficult to get together, but we always make it happen. Always.
This year, I got flooded with phone calls, little gifts, and cards from my wonderful friends wishing me a happy birthday. It always puts a huge smile on my face, but this year it was different and I can't say exactly how. It just meant a little bit more getting those cards and calls this year.

I had an amazing birthday and thanks to everyone for your birthday wishes!
Now its time to get serious and pack for IFB Con and NYFW. Wish me luck.
