I wore this BCBG Max Azria dress to a wedding in Scottsdale last weekend.
I really wanted to branch out a bit from dresses that I typically wear. For the most part, I tend to gravitate towards black dresses with a structured silhouette, but really wanted to wear something different this time. I've seen pleated dresses out + about, but never really thought about wearing one (major lapse in judgement).
Halston Heritage pleated dresses (here + here) are fabulous + to die for, so I had those in mind while shopping.
I spotted this dress on the final sale rack at BCBG + it was perfect. I love the pleating and the blue + gold color combination really works. I kept the styling to a minimum since the dress is pretty bold. The only thing I added to the dress was a vintage blue belt that I wore backwards to define my waist. Gold jewelry + clutch paired with nude sandals were the finishing touches to this wedding ensemble.
What do you think about pleated dresses? Do you own one?
