Easy Breezy

Wednesday, March 27, 2013

This entire week I am posting looks that are beachwear inspired from my recent trip to the Florida Keys. Monday was the maxi dress + today is the maxi skirt!

I bought this maxi skirt at South Moon Under last year and I can already tell its going to be a key player in my summer rotation. Nothing is easier to wear in warm weather than a flowy maxi skirt paired with a great fitting tank + sandals. One key to keeping this look chic is to make sure the tank isn't too tight. If it is, you run the risk of looking like an ice skater, but worse than that is being uncomfortable. Skin tight in warm weather = bad for everyone involved.

There is a mind-numbing amount of affordable sandals out there right now. I picked my sandals up at Nordstrom on sale right before vacation. I'm all about ankle detailing, so I love the ankle criss cross + the tiny bit of snake print detail is edgy + cool.

A great tank is key.
I love the fit of this Seneca Rising tank + the muted, multi-color print makes it perfect to wear with everything. The racerback cut is sporty and gives it a little more than your average tank for the summer.

There you have it.
Easy breezy dressing for the beach/summer. Now if only we could get a glimpse of warmer weather...
Tank: Seneca Rising (also love this one)
Maxi skirt: South Moon Under (on sale for $20. I''m not kidding)
Sandals: Enzo Angiolini at Nordstrom
Necklace: Vintage
Woven Clutch: J. Crew (sold out, but love this one)
