I'm not even going to start on this crazy weather because we can all agree, it's rough. Here in Charlotte, it's more of a damp cold rain as opposed to any snow or ice. It has been so rainy that we had to implement plan b. Snap photos inside.

This Bailey for J.Crew hat (on sale) and +Banana Republic camel coat combo (a few years old) have really emerged as my inclement weather go to. My hair doesn't exactly look great when it's damp and frizzy from excessive rain, so why not keep it under this beautiful hat? The Tretorn Skerry rain boot ($38.99) is clutch for all types of wet weather. I own a pair of Hunter boots too, but sometimes I find the shorter rain boot is a bit more comfortable.

Layering is key in nasty weather, so I wore my sleeveless +Madewell  Silk Tunic (similar) under this Joie Hertha sweater (on super sale- $50!) for an easy, put together look. The Madewell Transport Tote has been on my radar for a long time and lucky for me, it was under this tree this year! I absolutely love the shape and the overall rugged feel of the bag.

If you're in Charlotte, don't forget to enter my Giveaway to win a fabulous swag bag from the HoneeBee Gifts #FlipYourGift party on January 11th! It's super easy to enter, so don't miss it.

Here's to this "polar vortex"thing moving right out of town.

I was between the Madewell tote and the Cuyana leather tote for weeks. Luckily my husband chose for me and got me the Cuyana tote for our anniversary. Best gift I swear!
