A few weeks ago we took off to Savannah for a long weekend. It's a great spot for a three day trip since it's just under a four hour drive from Charlotte. It was my first time there and I don't think it'll be my last. Savannah is a walkable city with so much to see and explore. Here are a few of my favorite photos and places you can't miss when traveling to Savannah...

Be sure to take your time and stroll around Forsyth Park. The grounds are gorgeous and it's a perfect spot to sit for lunch and people watch. Also, just a short walk from Forsyth Park is Chippewa Square. This is where the famous bench scenes from Forest Gump were filmed.

There are more than enough great places to shop in Savannah (more on that below). One of my favorites is Harper. They have a killer selection of dresses and accessories—it's also in a perfect location.

The Riverwalk is more touristy, but still worth doing. We loved walking along the water and popping in and out of the shops.

We had an amazing weekend and if you haven't been, be sure to add Savannah to your list of cities to visit.
